Southern San Francisco is known as Silicon Valley. Here's a 1200 sq foot home in San Fran's Silicon Valley and Here is a home circa one of my fav WPB communities NorthWood Hills....
If I were to use the word gross to describe the corridor of 33407 Broadway from 26th Street north thru 59th Street I don't believe too many people would object. That being said gross is not a word we want associated with any West Palm Beach neighborhood. So what may be done?
There are some deep rooted issues in this region that I feel may be reversed. The answer has just as much to do with replacing current residents as it has to do with excellent local policy giving these same residents hope and opportunity. We're all less likely to do something stupid today if we feel tomorrow may hold something better.
Proper companies coming to West Palm Beach has a lot to do with our ability to take this area to its full potential. I fear a few #CRiTiCaL components to attract companies such as GooGle, Facebook, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley etc etc may be over looked or under supported. New office towers like THiS and THiS are needed to support the corporate office. Proper residential towers are needed like THiS and THiS and 1/3rd of THiS are needed to give the super loaded Dudes & Dudettes who lead these companies World Class Housing as well as options like the two examples I lead this message with for the 100's of $100,000 a year style jobs that make the machine work.
A boost to this "Super Employer creates Super Employee" dynamic that may have been lost recently is the Mount Sinai Project for the tent site. I've yet to figure out how this is not happening at that site or relocating to one near by. #KindAUrgenT
This area is super special and much like older infrastructure in the US is at 1/8 its full capacity. I feel strongly WPB may be able to lead by example a community redevelopment program to preserve the character and integrity of both the homes and the people.
