Ever hear the term "Wealth Whispers?"
West Palm Beach and the DDA have done a terrific job creating a brand for WPB. Their social media and newsletters are great. However, it's not the cities responsibility to entertain people. We have some staple events like Sunfest, The Boat Show, 4th on Flagler and Susan G. Race for the Cure... and I'd like to see a Grand Prix Style Race Car thingi in the future too.......That's enough.
Events like Thursday night Clematis should be scaled down to once a month if at all. We should take a close look at how the Meyer Amphitheater is being used and look to quiet that scene too. The turn out is rarely over 100 people and the types of people who seem to attend don't look the types who spend $200 on dinner.
The point is after watching vacant store front after vacant store front linger on the market for years at a time it's obvious some of the methods being implemented to promote this city are failing and I feel the "party all the time" theme has proven ineffective and needs some adjustment.

Thinking on this further a good option may be to relocate the current Night Clubs to a dedicated area... Like a District..... I'll follow up with a few potential areas L8r....
